NLP Practitioner: Mark Andreas

Mark Andreas

Born in Boulder Colorado, I grew up with the presuppositions of Nuero-Linguistic Programming (NLP) as a consistent part of my experience: there is no failure, only feedback… people work perfectly… behind every behavior is a positive intention… My parents, Steve and Connirae Andreas, have been developing and training NLP all of my life, so I grew up in the midst of a new understanding of how each one of us experiences outer reality through the five senses, creating our own unique and rich internal representations and resultant strategies for navigating through the world. When we understand these inner structures, we can change what isn’t working for us, shifting to what does work.

Mark's Experience:

Over the last two and a half years I’ve worked in wilderness therapy as a counselor/trip-leader for the Monarch Center for Family Healing, where I was in charge of facilitating groups of “troubled” youth on a daily basis both in individual therapy and in group process. In 2006 I completed the NLP Comprehensive NLP Practitioner Training in Colorado, and in 2008 I worked as one of four facilitators of the same seminar. I enjoyed supporting participants in their learning, and by doing so integrating the material at a new level myself. At the end of the course, participants were surprised to learn that this was my first time in the role of a coach. In the summer of 2008 I completed my NLP Master Practitioner Training and began my private practice.

What Mark Offers:

I look forward to using my expertise to discover together what are your unique resources that will allow you to overcome your problems and achieve your goals. It is my experience that each of us have the resources we need, including the ability to acquire the new skills that will be useful to us. Often these resources go unnoticed, playing out with unconscious ease as we move through life. It’s only when we run into problems that a lot of benefit can come from being deliberate with the skills we ordinarily take for granted each day. Rather than fall prey to the same old stumbling blocks, you can become the director of your own experience by engaging your natural abilities. And if you are in transition in your life you can clarify what you want and move forward with confidence and ease. I'm especially good at helping people to:

  • Improve relationships
  • Dissolve Anxiety
  • Change habits & behavior
  • End addictions & compulsions
  • Make better decisions
  • Develop healthy boundaries
  • Increase performance
  • Promote healing
  • Move through grief
  • Cure phobias & allergies
  • Come to terms with past trauma
