Here's a little practice exercise I did recently... enjoy, and try yourselves!

You have felt down and out. Down and out? Down, down and outside in hear my voice... and outside time can just tick comfortably on while in hear the sound of time expanding... expanding and slowing way down now.... Time perhaps for the genesis of a wonderful change in how you have felt before... And outside time can patiently wait, as you begin to wonder how far down is out enough to notice that old feeling soften now... And as that old feeling softens more and more, you may be starting to realize that even further down is the way out, and so you let yourself choose the best way you can... continue down... That's right...

And in a moment you can find yourself outside that old feeling as it continues to soften, soften and drift, soften and drift down further as you notice yourself increasingly outside that old feeling until you begin to notice all the ways in which it drifts further and further down from you at first... and second... and third... And doesn't that feel different to know that you and that old feeling were not one and the same? That's right... that old feeling has almost disappeared completely now... That's right... going, going further down, and going, going... gone... and feelings come and feelings go, and feelings can be replaced by better feelings right down here and now... and people agree that it doesn't matter whether you feel lighter before or better after knowing that old feeling has become... harder and harder to recall... until you can't remember it any more...

And now in it's place you can start to pay attention to the beginnings of a new better state instead... noticing where it begins, and how it grows, and moves... and feels now... curious to know how that new state will keep growing up and taking shape right there... inside you... Now, easily observing as it grows and naturally takes shape, and what do you notice most? Is it the size or the speed? Does its strength or its usefulness appeal to you most? What positive things does it want for you? Does it have a name? What happens if you call its name? Go ahead and say it now... How quickly does it come when you call its name? Quickly coming when you need it now... and the next time... and the next... excellent!

That's right... and now that you have come this far down inside, and you know how and when to call up this new positive state, you start to notice how much you want to use this new state in the outside world... and you realize the way out is up, riding all the way up and out on the name of your new positive state... up and out... and up and out... all the way up and outside now... where time has conventiently resumed, hasn't it? Check your watch.
