Mindlines is a book written by Michael Hall and Bobby Bodenheimer. The book is an expansion of what Robert Dilts called Sleight of Mouth.
In a nutshell, the book explains how we humans make internal maps of the world, and how we can use conversational patterns to challenge or reinforce the maps we make. It does so through exploring 26 different ways of reframing what we hold in mind, in order to have us think twice about what we think.
The book was an important guide for Connirae Andreas, and her study of it occupied at least a year. A lot of her current NLP mastery and success as a coach and trainer is supported my the material she learned here.
I recommend it.

I am new to this board and new to NLP 7 mo to be exact. I have witness to having it work with a cop. I am driving and the driver in front is hitting his brakes and i quickly change lanes to avoid him and the blue lights appear. cop: name and registration. do you know what you did? Me: tell me( what is his frame) Cop: you made an improper lane change, and no turn signal and were following too closely. me: that sounds about right, can you check the last time i have had a ticket( reframe I am a safe driver) Cop: returns. Lane changing is dangerous. Me: I agree yet I have one technique that has allowed me to avoid any major accidents in 33 years in this town. When a driver impedes my line of vision like the white Van i was following and they hit their brakes i need to see the road in front of me and that allows me to avoid accidents, what you saw was accurate, officer yet that is why i did it. ( reframe why I changed lanes) Cop: he smiles, he stops he says I am going to write you a WARNING because It is still dangerous to drive that way be careful.
I felt by Not arguing, agreeing what the cop saw was accurate yet reframing the behavior in a more safe driving tactic and slipping in my clean record..I had the ticket dropped.
I read most of sleight of mouth faithfully. there is so much I do not know about this stuff, and while my business has been very slow this year, there were many jobs i was able to insert my ideas and while agreeing with my client to steer them towards my thinking by coupling it to their ideas. I have never been able to do that before.
